BSc Business Computing
This degree combines the range of Information Technologies (electronic office, programming, databases and the internet) with fundamental areas of Business (management marketing, accounting, economics and law). Graduates will be equipped with the knowledge and skills needed to understand the business processes and analyze user information requirements in order to develop and implement information systems.
Through a mix of theory and practice, you’ll develop the skills to identify a nimble mixture of processes that permit information delivery systems to fulfil their roles within an organisation. Additionally, you will learn to recognise that an organisation is always changing and evolving and how the systems for information of the organization have to adapt to these changes as well as the demands of users.
In your second year, you’ll develop your IT and computing skills by participating in workshops and projects. You’ll learn from our professors and participate in an internship where you will put your new knowledge into practice.
Our teaching methods are focused on the most current technological advancements, and we focus on the application of new technologies in business. You can select from a broad range of courses, including Big Data Analytics and Informatics Strategy and Management, as along with e-Business Technology. The course is enhanced by regular guest speakers from leading companies that will help demonstrate the practical application of the subject that you’re studying and the opportunities for our graduates.
